Can you guess what happened to me? (Come on, wasn't the title glaringly obvious!?)
That's right! Miss Jack Lewis Baillot from the blog, However Improbable, has tagged me with a verrah fun tag. THANK you, Jack!
The Guardian |
Here are the RULES! You can't do these things without RULES!!!
2. Post 11 random things about yourself. (Hurray! Eleven! The number of my fav'rite doctor. :-)
3. Answer 11 questions from the person who tagged you. (Still Eleven!)
4. Ask the people you tag 11 questions. (Eleven, Eleven, Eleven!)
5. Nominate 11 other blogs. (Best. Number. Ever!)
ELEVEN RANDOM FACTS:
1.) I am the fifth child in my family.
2.) The Avengers (specifically Iron Man, Captain America and Hawkeye), The Adventures of Tintin (Tintin and Haddock equally), The Narnia movies (especially the Voyage of the Dawn Treader - SO MUCH Catholic symbolism!), The Lord of the Rings movies (specifically the characters Faramir, Frodo, and Eowyn) , Doctor Who (specifically the 11th Doctor), Sherlock and John, Psych (specifically Shawn) and Leverage (specifically ELIOT!!!) are some of my currently favourite movies. I could watch those over and over again. I have many more movies and TV shows that I could go on about, but these are my comfort shows. :)
3.) I get cold easily. For this reason, I do not like snow.
4.) I like to drink my water with a little bit of lemon juice.

4.) I like to drink my water with a little bit of lemon juice.
5.) I made myself an outfit out of gorgeous red material. It is my Iron Man outfit. One day I will get golden sandals to wear with it, and I might make myself an Arc Reactor out of clay. How cool would THAT be?
6.) I watched Les Miserables. The songs seemed to rush into the next rather faster than I liked, which is, actually, really my only complaint against it. However, I loved how they made the musicality of this musical so much better, and for the first time ever I sympathized with Fantine. My favourite characters were Jean Valjean, and Javert. My second favourite was probably Eponine and Fantine. I wasn't crazy about the barricade boys. Cosette and Marius were sweet. I LOVED the Catholicism portrayed throughout the story!
7.) I would rather watch a bunch of TV shows, one after another, than a full-length movie. Unless I'm in the mood for a movie. In which case, please stick the Avengers into the DVD player. Thank you.

8.) I LOVE Iron Man. (Please, do not post a snarky comment about why YOU don't happen to like him. I like him. End of story.)
9.) I love fantasy names that begin with A's and V's for girls, and B's for boys.
10.) Jamie Bell has J.B. initials! Other favoured and cool people with these initials are Jason Bourne, James Bond, and James J. Braddock. J. and B. are COOL initials!
11.) The Eleventh Doctor is my favourite. :) (Same as with Iron Man, do not leave a snarky comment, or even a condescending one, about why you don't like him as much as Ten. I like him. End.)

JACK'S ELEVEN QUESTIONS:
1. The Doctor shows up and asks you to be his companion at the same time Sherlock asks you to be his blogger. Who'd you pick?
Probably the Doctor, (primarily the Eleventh Doctor) because he appears to enjoy life more. I think that, if I were Sherlock's blogger, I'd be spending a lot of time hunched over my computer, yelling at him to go away and stop breathing over my neck as I typed. I HATE that!
2. In the great Clara debate, who do YOU think she is. (And if you don't know who Clara is...I've two words for you. No, three. Watch Doctor Who.)
I think she is Not A Pond.
3. You're falling off a building, which Avenger do you want to save you?
In this order, either:
Iron Man
Captain America
Hawkeye
4. Would you go for a ride in a cold, hot air balloon?
Cold, hot air balloon. COLD, hot air balloon. COLD. I don't like cold. (See picture under number three random fact.) Maybe if I was able to bring a massive blanket. And a portable heater. And a mug of coffee. And a coffee maker. And hand warmers.
5. Does your wardrobe lead to Narnia?
6. You meet an Alien who is about to kill you. Do you offer him a Jelly Baby or run?
It depends if I were an alien as well. Specifically a fourth reincarnation of an alien. Then, out would come the Jelly Babies! Also, it depends on the kind of alien. Were it an alien from the first nine doctors, I would totally just offer a Jelly Baby. The later aliens would give me pause. I might have to run from them. Especially the Silence. They were a particularly creepy kind of alien.
7. If your best friend faked his death to save your life, then popped up a year later to inform you he was still alive, would you faint or punch him?
Both. I would faint in amaze, and when I came to I would punch him. How dare he cause me such anguish?
8. Buttered popcorn or plain?
Lightly buttered popcorn, no salt. Make sure it's crunchy.
9. Have you ever had a flip phone in your position and wished to yell, "Beam me up, Scotty!" into it?
ALWAYS!!!!! (Did you know that particular phrase was never used in the Star Trek series? Variations of it were, such as "Beam us up, Scotty," or "Beam me up, Mr. Scot," or, "Scotty, beam me up!" But never that actual, "Beam me up, Scotty!" phrase. Nerdy, yes?)
10. What is your favouritest book?
Ergh! I cannot say! Anything by Diana Wynne Jones, J.R.R. Tolkien, Brian Jacques, or Patricia McKillip. I am currently in love with Megan Whalen Turner's THE THIEF.
11. It is raining, do you go for a walk in it or sit by the fire with hot chocolate and a good book?
11. It is raining, do you go for a walk in it or sit by the fire with hot chocolate and a good book?
They don't call me Cat for no reason! I'll wait in the house, sitting by the fire with hot chocolate and a fantasy novel.
MY ELEVEN QUESTIONS:
1.) What sort of *real* animal would you enjoy being able to shape shift into? What about a *fantasy* animal?
2.) How quickly do you form opinions on fictional characters, and is your opinion subject to change if the character reveals an unexpected and hitherto unknown side to his personality?
3.) Given the chance, would you drop everything and fly to Italy, or would you rather have a few weeks to prepare, at least?
4.) Do you know they difference between alligators and crocodiles?
5.) Did you answer the above question on your own, or did Google assist you?
6.) How many books do you think you own?
7.) If you had a choice, which would you be more likely to buy in Barnes and Nobles: books, or music, or TV shows?
8.) How many TV shows are you catching up on right now?
9.) Did you always want to be an archer before Hunger Games, The Avengers, and Brave made it "cool" again?
10.) Who is your favourite actor/actress right now?
11.) If you had to choose between steak, fish, and chicken, which would you choose?

Oh, fun, fun, fun!!!!! I am soooo going to do this one!!! Probably next Monday! :D Thanks for tagging me!
ReplyDeleteHaha. I was so going to post a snarky response...but I won't. Ok, I'm just kidding. But hey, everyone loves their own thing!
Oh...and cold. I. hate. cold. too. With a passion. I think you've heard me say so on my blog. No reason to go on. :D
Oh, Les Mis!!!!! I'm in love with Les Mis..... :D
And J and B are very good initials. :D
Once again, thanks for the tag!
Cheerio!
~Caitria
You're welcome. Can't wait to see what you answer. Mwahahahahahaaaaaa.
DeleteThanks Cat. This will take some thought, lol. Will do it in the next few days, got to think of questions answers etc.
ReplyDeleteDefo! It took me quite a few days to get this all together, simply because I'm in the middle of editing, and I hate taking breaks to do a blog post. *Bad* me.
Delete"Do you get it *now*?"
ReplyDelete"....y-eee-s....?"
lol. Those crazy people. That math class one is the funniest!
... and I really want popcorn right now, at a quarter to one in the morning... and this moment, I do not care if there is better on it or not.
I don't know. The Driving Lesson one is pretty funny too. :)
DeleteWe actually had popcorn the other night. We watched Tintin. I can watch that movie once every three months and not get tired of it. Maybe even once every two months. Truth!
Thanks for the tag, Kat! :)
ReplyDeleteDefinitely, Kelly! :)
DeleteI tagged you too, so you get another one. 8-D I like all the Avengers but I like Thor best I think because he's like an Alien and he gets a hammer. I'd like a hammer, then I could smash bananas but I don't think Jack would let me do that.
ReplyDeleteI think I like your littest sister lots more now. It would be fun to wear wings into a store. Jack told me I can't because I would try and fly...
You got to meet Mr. Jacques!!!! That would be very very exciting!!
It would be very fun to smash a banana with Thor's hammer. That would be a banana split to remember!
DeleteLoved your answers 8-D
ReplyDeleteI am watching the Original Star Trek. I think I might watch the next one with Captain Picard after it, but I don't think I'll like it as much. The Original is kind of dorky and corny, as you said, but it does have a certain charm to it. (I love corny, sixties shows 8-D)
I'm with you, I liked Jeremy Renner and Simon Pegg more in the new MI then Tom Cruse. Those two need to be in more movies together.
I KNOW!! If they kill Iron Man I think most of the world will be mad. I can't imagine the Avengers without him.
They have old Winnie the Pooh cartoons? I'm going to have to huunt them down! I also want to see the newest movie. It looks as if it keeps with the charm of the books.
I FOUND THE THIEF!!! I was soooo happy! Even more so to find the library has all four books! I cannot wait to read them.
Hm...that actually happened to me. After all my arranging of files and wasting all that time on them I still didn't find what I was looking for. I think it is in the black hole somewhere.
I need to do some reviews on all three Narnia movies. I really liked them all, tied for me. I know many don't like Dawn Treader but I thought it was well done and really enjoy watching it over and over.
I prefer the movie of Prince Caspian over the book as well. I like the book, but the battle was so short. And we missed most of it. (I like battles.)
Dawn Treader really spoke to me though. I felt as if that one applied to my life more then the others. (The things about wanting to be more like someone else and thinking little of oneself.) I just felt like I learned more from that one if that makes sense.
Jack, yes, that does make sense. That's the reason I loved The Dawn Treader. I felt that all the things that were said between characters was incredibly thought-provoking and true. And I just love Lucy. She reminded me of *me* in that entire movie. :)
DeleteThanks for the tag! Also, I'm totally in love with Iron Man too -he's THE BEST. ;D
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tag, Cat. No. 7 was about Sherlock, wasn't it? You've named two of my favourite TV shows, too: Sherlock & Doctor Who!
ReplyDeleteI'm going to look into autocrit. Thanks for the link, anything to help with editing and to make it slightly less painful.
ReplyDeleteLittle Lucy was SOOO cute! I think she's one of the reasons I love the first movie so much. And that is why I'm so sad their rebooting the series, because it means a new Lucy. 8-(
Yes, I missed Mr. Tummins too!
That's the ONLY thing I didn't like about The Hobbit, the songs were too short. They cut it off WAY too soon! And I don't think anyone would have complained about it being as long as in the book. They need to do a CD with the Dwarves singing all the songs from the books. That would make me happy.
