Six-Sentence Saturday 08/20/11

It's that time of week again. Amazing, isn't it?

1.) I can't believe it's Saturday already... is it just me, or does it feel as though the days just simply fly?

2.) It's my little sister's birthday, and she got her ears pierced, and very lovely she feels with earrings, too.

3.) I simply can't think how to revise this one chapter in my WIP so that it reads cleanly, and that is SUPER frustrating!

4.) There is an edge to the air that isn't summer, and I'm really dragging my heels at the thought of the upcoming autumn.

5.) Staples is having a SALE, starting Sunday and continuing on through Wednesday - can you guess what I'm going to be doing beginning next week? LOL

6.) I try not to read the newspaper - all it does is depress me. Yanno?

  2. 1. The entire summer has gone by in a blur.

    2. The magic number in my family for getting ears pierced was thirteen years old.

    3. A few weeks ago, when I was stuck on my WIP, I printed out the entire thing (it felt wasteful using so much ink and paper on a draft) but it made all the difference in the world, reading the hard copy, and really got things rolling again.

    4. I absolutely love autumn, but I wouldn't mind if we had to wait a bit longer for it to arrive.

    5. Staples is not on my list of stores for shopping day this week, but now you've peaked my curiosity; I may have to stop in.

    6. I only read the good parts of the newspaper, you know - the book, entertainment, and movie sections ;)

  3. Luv, I think I'm going to print out the entire thing. It DOES make it easier to read.

  4. I can't read the paper either. I avoid the news and pick up a book instead. ;)
Happy belated birthday to your sister! Yay!
I'm revising right now too and there are parts I love, love, love, and others I'm still trying to get right. I feel your frustration.

  5. Cat,

You are so right, summer has flown by but I'm happy about that. I hate summer. I can't wait for fall!
I ALWAYS print my stories out, always, always. I can look at something on screen for hours and think everything looks fine but when I print it out, it never fails that I've missed something.
Yes, the paper is very depressing, however I love reading it on Sat & Sun mornings along with my coffee. It's a favorite time for me. I even like reading the obit's. I have no clue why!
I'm also revising a story. It's only a picture book but it's driving me nuts. I am having a really hard time getting it just right!

See my comment box? Want to know a secret?

*whispers* It's actually a TARDIS comment box! If you write long enough, you'll see... it's bigger on the inside!

Isn't that cool?

Now that you know that, aren't you going to throw a comment in there? You KNOW you want to. :)
