I was tagged by Kelly Hashway in a game of Blog Tag! It's quite fun. The rules are:
1. You must post the rules in a new blog post.
2. Answer the questions and then create eleven new questions to ask the people you’ve tagged.
3. Tag eleven people and link to them.
4. Let them know you’ve tagged them.
Kelly's Questions:
If you could live in a fictional world, where would that be?
Middle-earth, either in Rivendell or Hobbiton.
Do you read in noisy or quiet places?
I'm from a big family, so noisy or quiet doesn't matter. Just as long as the book is good, I'M good!
What was the first book you ever read?
Um... the first one that actually springs to mind is Ramona the Pest.
If you could only read one book for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Gosh! Just ONE?!?! Probably The Lives of Christopher Chant.
Favourite author?
These questions are HARD! However, if I can only choose one, then it would be Diana Wynne Jones.
Do reviews influence your choice of reads?
Depends on how much I trust the reviewer. Generally, it doesn't influence me much.

Fiction or Non fiction?
Fiction for sure!
Have you ever met your favourite author?
I met ONE of my favourite authors... Brian Jacques actually came to Tahoe, and he signed my copy of Pearls of Lutra.
Audio books or Paperbacks?
Paperback... well, preferably hardback, but definitely paperback over audio.
Classic or Modern Novels?
Sorry, both!
Book Groups or Solitary Reading?
I like to read all by myself. :)
11 people to tag?

Middle-earth, what a great answer! Cat, you are one of the few who followed the rules and created new questions. Good for you. I cheated. ;)
ReplyDeleteOoh, Middle-earth is just the BEST world ever!
DeleteI love asking questions, so I had fun thinking of new and unusual ones. :)
Diana Wynne Jones...Nice choice. And how cool that you got to meet Brian Jacques.
ReplyDeleteI wish I could have met her! :( At least I got to meet Brian Jacques. He was the nicest, nicest man. He demonstrated "hare talk" (you'll know what I mean by that if you've read his books)and showed us the cover of his (at that time) soon-to-be-published Lord Brocktree. It was amazing.
DeleteThank you so much for including me! This is a fun blog game! I also remember Ramona the Pest being one of my first reads. I still remember her asking her father what the dawnserly light was after hearing the Star Spangled Banner!
ReplyDeleteI loved that bit in Ramona, where the dawnzer is a kind of lamp that gives off a lee light. Beverly Cleary just KNEW children!
DeleteHope you have fun, Tracey. :)
Hey, thanks for tagging me. I will post on Friday or Saturday, when I have a short break from my Fireseed One virtual tour!
ReplyDeleteExcellent, Catherine. Congrats on Fireseed One! I'll be you're in Thrillsville with it. :)
DeleteThanks for the tag, Kat. I've got my answers up http://angeliaalmos.blogspot.com/2012/02/ive-been-tagged.html
ReplyDeleteAngelia, AWESOME! I loved the double-answer thing you did, with mine and Taurean's questions. Clever.
DeleteI'm impressed that you could choose just one book! I cheated there, too, and didn't pick.
ReplyDeleteIt took me a LONG time to narrow it down to just that one book. If I could, I'd bring my entire library with me.
DeleteThanks for commenting on my blog.
ReplyDeleteIt's great reading all these tags and getting to know bloggers better. :)
Thanks for stopping by to comment on mine! :) I agree. These Tag Games are always such fun!
